Distance Education
Central Queensland Christian College was established by Peace Christian Church in 1993, initially as a Primary school but now offers a full program from Prep to Year 12. Our graduates can receive an OP and we have seen students enter University to study Law, Veterinary Science, Podiatry, Multimedia, Teaching and more.
While establishing a day school, we have always recognised that it is just as important for parents to have access to a quality distance education service. Our Christian community has always had parents who chose this mode of schooling and most of our Board members have used this method at one time or another. As a Board, we want to be able to offer both modes of education to families so that parents are able to make a choice according to what they feel is in the best interests of their child at the time. In our heart we have always wanted to support parents using a distance education service and at times have conducted various activities with the local network. |
The
vision of Central Queensland Christian College is to be a school that
serves parents across the region, not just Rockhampton. In accordance
with these beliefs we have now lodged an application with the Non State
Schools Accreditation Board to be come a distance education provider.
Having established a quality educational program based on the Bible as the Word of God and aligned with the Australian Curriculum, we now would like to make this service available to parents through distance education.
In the near future we will be putting together a prospectus and inviting enrolments but we are not at that stage yet. Initially we are keen just to receive expressions of interest. That is, "Are you or someone you know interested in this service? Would you like to know more information?" If so, could you please complete the following survey: http://goo.gl/forms/AGzlnQKh5L
We are not asking if people would enrol, we are just asking if they are interested. Completing the form does not ask for a commitment of any kind, but it does help us to know how much interest we have in our community and allows us to provide statistical information to support our application.
We would be very grateful if you could take the time to complete this survey. Also, if you have any friends who you think might be interested, could you please share this with them and ask them to do the same.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Warmest regards,
Michael Appleton
